Go you good thing!

We’ve been lucky enough to get some much needed rain over the last week or so and the valley is looking glorious.

Rain at this point in the growth cycle is critical as the vines will be flowering in the next few weeks so any additional soil moisture is put to good use. Add in lots of blue sky days on between the rain and its looking lovely.

The weather here in the Barossa hasn’t quite got the memo that it’s Spring, some sunny days interspersed with windy and cool days.

Safe to say it’s still red wine weather!

We have the Concilio, Annexus and Plexus on pour, the perfect red for Spring sunshine.

It’s one of our favourite days of the year!

#grenacheday is celebrated globally on the third Friday in September, although we don’t need much encouragement to celebrate one of our favourite varieties.

Also worth celebrating the resilience and foresight (or is it stubbornness) of the previous generations for ensuring this much loved variety continued to be grown here in the Barossa.

This Father's Day is going to be a busy one for Team JDW.

JD is now the proud Grandpa to four fabulous mini Duval's as Nicola and Tim welcomed Remy to the world recently.

A quick trip to the @barossafarmersmarket this morning for the best pork in town from @gumshire_pork and pasta from @casacarboni in Angaston and voila!

Fantastic to have @ftosso and @alejandro_galazv in the Barossa this week.

The team have been finalising the @ventisquero_wines 2024 blends and as a treat we tasted through a selection of vintages of Pangea Syrah.

John and Felipe have been working together since 2003 and it is always a delight to have them visit the Barossa.

Happy Old Vine Day!

We are lucky enough to source fruit from a selection of old vines from across the Barossa and Eden Valleys and these form the basis for our wines.

These beauties are from a Mataro vineyard that was planted around 100 years ago in the Lights Pass region of Barossa.
